Week 4：“Analyze the rhetorical situation of your Product Review essay”

The purpose of the Product Review Essay is for us to introduce a product and understand the product itself. What we need is a specific product with a name, brand, model + standard. Regarding this, I didn’t know what to write at first. I just knew I needed to choose a product to write about at home, so when it came time to outline my Product Review Essay, I made a mistake. After feedback from the professor, I learned that I needed to find not just a product to write about, but a specific product with a name, brand, model + standard. There was also feedback from peers, and I also knew that I still needed to find the background of the product. Through feedback, I revised my Product Review Essay based on their feedback. At the beginning, my Product Review Essay was about computers. Later, after modification, I wrote MacBook Pro, so that people who do not know what computer to buy can know the cost performance. This essay is intended to recommend to users and people who want to buy a computer but don’t know what computer to buy. Through my essay, they can learn about the background, durability, practicality, functionality, advantages, and disadvantages of the MacBook Pro. That way, they don’t have to look it up on their own, and they know what the MacBook Pro is doing. This assignment enables us to understand the background, durability, practicality, and functionality of a Product around us. Besides, we are also one of the users, so we can better understand the perspective of the target audience and readers.
